I love this post’s reframing on a long time issue! I wonder why school leaders skip these critical early steps so often or whey this design/transformation get’s too little attention in standard processes….

The simplest systems answer setting aside the "why actors" roles is probably: "Have you ever noticed how organizations keep investing in new platforms and technology changes, but somehow the fundamental collaboration challenges remain the same? That's because we're intervening at the lowest leverage point in the system. The highest impact changes happen at the culture and paradigm level - but most integration efforts never touch that."

Yep, it's so interesting that "why"--- Could write a book about these "too little attention to apply common sense" bits and probably will, otherwise I have no idea what else to do with all these notes collected over the past decade essentially watching platos cave videos on a loop.
